getting PMP certification for the whole team

I'm super excited about my new job! I just joined a project management team, and the whole crew is planning to get PMP certified together.

It's a great opportunity, but I'm a bit confused about the logistics.
Does anyone know if we can take the course and pay for the test on a single invoice for the whole team?
Or do we all have to pay individually and then get reimbursed?

Also, is there anything we should discuss with our manager or HR before we register, just to make sure we're all on the same page?
Any tips on how to handle this would be a huge help!

Hey, congrats! Before you sign up, you should check with HR. Some places let you do group payments, but others want you to pay yourself and get repaid later. Plus, make sure your budget's okayed and you know how reimbursements work.

I have seen companies handle it two ways. Sometimes everyone pays on their own and then turns in receipts for reimbursement. Other times HR arranges with the training vendor to issue one invoice for a block of seats. It really depends on how your company wants to run the books, so I would bring it up before anyone registers.

Each person pays for their own exam and course, then submits for reimbursement, but some companies can set up a group invoice if HR handles training centrally
