Anyone actually using AI software in PM work?

I manage a mix of tech and construction projects, and one of my clients is pushing me to bring AI into the workflow. They are convinced it will shave time off status reporting and risk tracking, but I'm skeptical. Before I start integrating it into our current setup, I'd like to hear what others have actually used it for and if it saved more time than it created extra headaches.

I work on mid-sized projects and gave AI a try for weekly reports and task lists. It was a bit tricky at first, but once I set things up right, it saved me a lot of time. I think it's best to start small, maybe with status updates and see how it works for you. What tools are you looking at?

I’ve tried using AI for progress summaries and flagging schedule risks and yeah it does speed things up once you set up right, but getting clean data in and tuning prompts took longer than I expected

what app do you use? My office has been using AI since last year. Generally it shows significant time savings on administrative tasks (like status reporting and risk tracking) but also highlights the need for substantial human oversight and initial data preparation to avoid headaches

I manage tech deployments, and my take is that AI won't manage the project, but it is an incredible documentation intern.
AI is fantastic for generating the first draft of a status report. Feed it the week's meeting minutes, team chat summaries, and the last report, and it can structure the new update and fill in the basics. It easily saves 30 minutes of writing/structuring time per report.
